When Tyler Merritt got his cancer diagnosis, his entire perspective on what actually matters in life got completely flipped upside down. After surviving a super invasive surgery, he thought he was fully in the clear, but the universe had other plans. His doctors laid it out straight: it wasn't a matter of if the tumor would make a comeback tour, but when. The clock was officially ticking.
This Changes Everything is a funny, fiercely optimistic love letter to this chaotic, beautiful life. As Tyler counts down the days to his next scan, he realizes none of us have time for toxic grudges, holding onto pettiness, or letting core friendships fade into "we should catch up soon!" texts that never happen. It's a total reality check about our limited time on earth, wrapped in a hopeful blueprint for living every day with intention.
Packed with his signature humor, endless pop culture nods, and a arguably aggressive amount of musical theater references, This Changes Everything shows how confronting your own mortality can trigger a major mind-shift—and why we need to stop wasting time on things that don't matter.
